Psychosocial Risk Assessment & Management (PRisMA)

Overview

Mental health at work is now a core occupational safety and health issue in Malaysia. DOSH’s Guideline on Psychosocial Risk Assessment and Management at the Workplace (PRisMA) and newer flexible-work guidance make clear that employers’ duty of care extends to psychosocial risks — such as excessive workload, poor support, workplace conflict and harassment. MASTAC supports employers to identify, assess and manage these risks and build a mentally healthier, more productive workplace.

Regulatory context

DOSH’s PRisMA guideline (2024) and the OSH Guide for Flexible Work Arrangements (2026) extend employers’ duty of care under OSHA 1994 to psychosocial risks and mental health at work.
