MASTAC Successfully Conducts HIRARC – Advanced Module for SD Guthrie
On 15–16 April 2026, MASTAC successfully conducted the HIRARC – Advanced Module Training for SD Guthrie, focusing on strengthening participants’ competency in Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Control (HIRARC) aligned with Department of Occupational Safety and Health Malaysia HIRARC 2008 Guidelines.
This HRDF Claimable training brought together safety personnel, engineers, supervisors, and operational staff to enhance their understanding of advanced workplace risk management and hazard control strategies.
This program is HRD Corp Claimable, allowing organizations to upskill employees in workplace risk management, strengthen compliance with safety regulations, improve workplace hazard control practices, and enhance overall safety culture. As an HRD Corp Accredited Training Provider, MASTAC ensures all training modules meet HRDF requirements and industry standards.
The HIRARC Advanced Module focused on advanced hazard identification techniques, likelihood and severity evaluation, risk matrix analysis and scoring, hierarchy of control application, real workplace case study analysis, and HIRARC documentation improvement. Participants were engaged through interactive group discussions, case studies, and practical exercises based on real workplace scenarios.
Throughout the 2-day training, participants were actively involved in group risk assessment exercises, workplace hazard identification workshops, real incident case analysis, HIRARC development activities, and risk control implementation planning. The training encouraged hands-on learning and knowledge sharing, enabling participants to apply the concepts directly to their workplace environments.
By the end of the session, participants were able to conduct advanced HIRARC assessments, determine accurate likelihood ratings, apply effective risk control measures, improve workplace risk documentation, and strengthen proactive safety management. Participants provided positive feedback, highlighting the practical approach, real-life scenarios, and interactive delivery.
